The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of Alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

Share The Steps - online!

For the first time, Al-Anon members are able to share on our Websites how they apply the Twelve Steps to their lives. We'll begin with Step One in January, and we'll move on to Step Two in February, etc.

Sharing member-to-member on the Web is an opportunity to strengthen our shared recovery as a fellowship. Sharing how the Steps play a positive role in your recovery could be very helpful to other members in the US, Canada, and around the world.

Also, sharing our recovery in this way could attract new members to Al-Anon Family Groups. It could help newcomers understnad how the Twelve Steps could play a positive role in their lives.

This opportunity to share is open to all Al-Anon members - in English, Spanish, and French. Whether you are new to Al-Anon or a long-timer, everyone has something to share. Just share from the heart, as you would at an Al-Anon meeting.

Anonymity shields the identity of all members, thereby reassuring newcomers that they are safe and protected when they go to an Al-Anon meeting. Anonymity ensures that no one will reveal whom they saw at a meeting. The confidentiality implicit within this principle also assures all members that whatever they say will not be repeated.
